Assign Filter Parameter
There are two types of parameters that are part of the Data Filter. First is the list of the Titles that represents the existing columns in the displayed data (the control is highlighted with yellow color on the image above). By selecting one of the titles you are pointing the column to which the filter is going to me applied.
for example if you select the [Name] the parameter that you assign to the user defined are going to me applied to the Name Column.
the second parameter in the filter is the User Defined Parameter. As the name suggests it is the parameter that the user inserts to the control located in the toolbar (the control is highlighted on the with the green color on the image above)
In order to run filter both parameters has to me set.
