Processes Button
The service button is loading a special User Interface that let you control MS Word and MS Excel Services. If any Word document or Excel document is loaded it activates a related services required to run such documents or the workbooks. The ServicesWindow will inform you that such services are active and usually you don't have to do anything but follow you tasks. You can still close those services using the Services Windows, the Task manager or (what is the most recommended option) by closing the opened documents or/and workbooks. When all Word or Excel workbooks become closed those services becomes inactive and that behavior is right and expected.
However when Ms Word or Ms Excel will experience damage, the service will not me properly closed, it leaves the service allocated in the memory. Such Services are affecting the performance of Bulk mail for Acomba which may stop creating properly the source file or and affect the Add-in in the Word making it malfunction. When the Service is wrongly working the only choice you have, it is removing it from the memory by forcing it to close. Such procedure can me done from the "Services" that you can opened from the Administration Tools, from the Windows Task Manager, or from the Services Window in Bulk mail for Acomba. The main advantage of using the services Window is that you can see whether the service is in trouble or not. Any problematic Service will trigger the message displayed in red color informing you about the problem.

In order to remove the service you have select it by checking the appropriate checkbox. Next select the "End Selected Process(es)" option and click OK button. The rest is done for you by the Bulk mail for Acomba.
the picture below is showing the situation when good and the bad Service are active. In such situation you can end only bad service or you can end them both. The procedure is the same as above only both services has to me checked if both you decided to remove.
When you choose to remove the active service of the Word or/and Excel the message will appear as below:
It is to prevent unexpected removing of the service that could me allocated with the document or the workbook that are important. When the service is force to the end it will also close the associated document without saving whatever is inside of it. that could me extremely important letter or other form that you can lose permanently. It is not applying to the services that in the Services window are marked with the red color.
Notice:The window appears also when you load the Bulk mail for Acomba or/and Word or Excel services are found. |
